A unique condominium development is planned to be built in Cherry Valley on the Kishwaukee River. The development will change the wooded and marshy area to The Woodlake on Newburg Condos.
Ninety-Nine single and double unit upscale condos will start around $200,000, but the uniqueness of this site isn't so much the homes, it’s the private nature preserve that will be located right next to it. There will be bike and walking paths and access to the Kishwaukee River.
The developers already have many home designs in mind, but they will also build one of a kind homes at the request of their customers. The Village president believes that the added appeal of the land set aside for conservation will draw a mix of different people. Not only will stateliners be interested, but also people looking for an alternative living situation who wish to commute to Chicago.
The condos will be an example of how to develop land for living while still embracing conservation.
