Signs Up In Support Of Epperson

The signs reference a quote from former president Teddy Roosevelt. The message is to police officers to do their job and stop feuding with Police Chief Chet Epperson.

The billboards were created by the group, Average Citizens of Rockford.

Please Email me the address of the agencies the Rockford/Winnebago County police department report their crimes to. The Rockford policemen refuse to write police reports for burglary, car theft, drug dealing. They allow drug dealers to terrorize you, they allow people to feed you things to kill you and physically assault you, and as long as you are related to, or hang around with the right policemen you can do this in the city of Rockford and not have a police report written or be arrested. This leads to some members of this large organised crime group in Rockford to contact my elderly relatives out of state and embezzel from them. Paul Logli was aware that this is taking place and some of his staff knows, too.

THE UNION IS A TOOL TO PROTECT THE WEAK! IF DOING YOUR JOB AS WHAT YOUR SUPPOSED TO DO, THERE WOULD NOT BE ALL THIS DISPAIR. FOR THE CITIZENS WHO SUPPORT THE CHIEF, HATS OFF! I DO AS WELL AFTER ALL WE PAY THIER SALARIES!

Well with that kind of mentality thank goodness there is a union in place. One could only think what might happen if there was no way to protect our LINE OFFICERS from upper management who do think that way. What most people dont realize is that the way you can report crimes to back up your stats there can be a grey area with it to make it appear that crime is down. Well since the 276 officers are no good since they voted no confidence i guess they should just pack up there bags and leave. The Average Citizens of Rockford could then team up with the 6 remaining officers and do neighborhood watches. Or maybe when one of the members calls for the police they ask the officer what they voted to determine if the officer is good enough to handle the job because Average Citizens of Rockford would need to stand tall with there belief that the officer is no good.

This "Average Citizens" group would appear to be well-funded from the quality of the material used in the sign I saw....also seemed to be placed on the public right-of-way,a violation of city ordinance...breaking the law in support of an accused lawbreaker....

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” Theodore Roosevelt on the presidency. I just thought one good quote deserved another.

I just heard about this from a neighbor of mine and had to check the site myself because I jusy could not believe it. I can understand the union feeling the need to do this since they are not allowed to strike but for the police chief who has just been brought up on felony charges to do this: Another poor choice from a very poor chief.

Saw one of these...two things struck me...the size and materials looked pricey(hardly a "grassroots" AVERAGE group)...and appeared to be on the PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, against city ordinances...
