New research is aimed at answering that question, scientists say evolution has provided women with slight differences from men in their lower back and hip joints. This allows us to adjust our center of gravity as we pack on the pounds up front.

The study shows it's a difference only seen in female humans and our immediate ancestors who walked on two feet but not in chimps and apes.
