Negotiations continued Thursday between the Rockford School District and union members who have been struggling to keep their jobs from being outsourced. During the negotiations today numbers were crunched and proposals were made in a continued effort to come to an agreement.
The union members said that they have changed the numbers in their proposed contract, and they will now be giving the school district the opportunity to review the new numbers. After both sides have looked over the new terms they will meet once again tomorrow.
If every thing goes according to plan the school board will have a closed session on Saturday to discuss the possibility of signing a new contract. If need be the two groups will also meet one last time before the school board meeting, giving hope that the whole issue could be resolved by the end of the week.
