23 News learned that on Wednesday the Chrysler Corporation will announce changes when a new model replaces the Neon later this year.
A Chrysler Vice-President tells 23 News that the announcement is "99 percent likely" and will include both local officials and Chrysler leaders from Detroit.
Last week, an executive said that new production at the Daimler plant will start with one vehicle and then expand from there.
That means new jobs and additional shifts. It's still unknown what model or models will be produced at the plant.
