A weekend accident sends three people to hospitals in Winnebago County.
One person is fighting for his life. Authorities say 17-year-old Michael Heslop from Winnebago was driving on Spielman Road at a high rate of speed.
He then lost control and crossed over a railroad track, and went air-born flipping the car several times before landing in a cornfield.
In the car were two 19-year-old passengers Mark Hose and Brian Lancaster.
All three were ejected from the car. One of the passengers was stuck under the car.
Heslop, the driver, was taken to Rockford Memorial Hospital. He's in fair condition.
The two passengers were air-lifted. Lancaster is in critical condition at Rockford Memorial. Hose has been upgraded from critical to serious.
Winnebago County Sheriff's Department says high speed and alcohol caused the crash.
