A 10-year-old boy is dead after a camper fire early Thursday morning.
It happened just before 3 a.m. on the Rockton exit ramp from I-90. Fifty-two-year-old Keith Hinson of Pullman, Washington pulled the camper off the road so he and his two sons could sleep.
Investigators say a blanket or sleeping bag fell on a propane heater, and ignited.
Hinson and his 12-year-old son we're able to escape but, 10-year-old Daniel was trapped and died.
Hundreds of rounds of ammunition and three rifles we're found inside the camper, which has been impounded for further investigation.
Hinson and his 12-year-old son were treated at St. Anthony Medical Center for minor injuries.
