Natural Gas Prices Projected to Jump 18 to 22 Percent

By  |

Administration Department officials estimate the average cost of heating with gas this winter will be 18 to 22 percent higher because of the current cost and that of the natural gas in storage.

About 66 percent of Wisconsin households heat with natural gas. Eleven percent use propane and eight percent use heating oil.

Liquid propane is up about 26 percent, heating oil up 47 and a-half percent.
