Waste Oil Leaks Into Tributary of Kishwaukee River

About 500 to 1,000 gallons of used motor oil mixed with sewer water seeped into the creak, which is a tributary of the Kishwaukee River.

Firefighters and state environmental officials said the discharge from a local truck-repair business was accidental. The owner of the business and the landlord have agreed to pay for the cleanup.
