20-year-old Michael Breit from Rockford was convicted in federal court Friday.
Authorities say Breit kept a hit list of politicians and celebrities. Police arrested Breit in April 2004. Authorities say they found a hit list of public figures, materials to make pipe bombs and several weapons in his home. At that time he was charged with illegally receiving black powder to make explosive devices, and illegally receiving an explosive with intent to kill, injure, intimidate, or damage a building, vehicle, or property. Breit will be sentenced February 3rd. He faces up to ten years in prison.
