JEFFERSON, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities in Wisconsin have recovered the body of an Illinois windsurfer on Lake Koshkonong (KOSH'-kohn-ong).
The Rock County Sheriff's Department sent two boats from its rescue and recovery team to the lake about 10:30 last night after Jefferson County received a report that a male windsurfer from Illinois was missing.
The man's car was parked on Carcajou (KAR'-kah-joo) Point on the lake's north shore. A witness reported last seeing the windsurfer about 4:30 p.m.
Rock County sheriff's officials say the sail, board and finally the man's body were found in the lake at about 2:00 a.m.
The body was found offshore from Koshkonong Mounds golf course.
