Finding a job can be a struggle and that's where QPS Companies comes in to the picture. The company recently moved to a new location in Rockford because business is expanding and a new division has recently been added.
For the past seven years, Karie Parkins has been journeying through several part-time jobs, but now she's seeking a full-time work and she hopes QPS will help guide her to that destination.
"My daughter is older now so it's time for me to get out and do something for myself," says Karie Parkins.
QPS Companies is a personnel solutions firm offering specialized staffing and placement for temporary, temp-to-hire and direct-hire needs, and the company's vice president of sales says QPS is dedicated to forming a true match between job applicants and client companies.
"We take into consideration what the client is looking for, but also what applicants are looking for so we try not to put applicants in a position of situation they don't desire," says vice president of sales, Mark Immekus.
As a result of the shift in Rockford's economic climate over the past few years, the company recently introduced a new division QPS office that focuses on office and clerical placements.
“We have a training center, computers set up, so if we have a person for a special job, they'll be put at a computer and we'll see where they fall into place,” says senior sales representative, Carolyn Graham.
In addition to QPS office, the company also retains light industrial and technical divisions.
“We have lots of positions. We are bringing new business in every day. We've had an increase of 67 percent from clients alone," says Graham.
Just the words Karie Parkins is happy to hear.
"I know I'm going to get a job. I have faith in QPS."
