TransMeridian Doing Great at MidAmerica

Airport Director Tim Cantwell says the airline opened service on November 21 with a goal of filling between 70 and 75 percent of the seats.

Trans-Meridian flies twice weekly to Sanford, Florida. The town is 18 miles from Orlando, a major tourist destination.

MidAmerica is located 20 miles east of St. Louis. It has been without a regular carrier since January when its last regular carrier, Great Plains Airlines, suspended flights after filing for bankruptcy protection.

TransMeridian is based in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
