Bush in Wisconsin Saturday

The president opened a day-long dash through four battleground states with a morning rally in Grand Rapids in heavily Republican western Michigan.

He says on Tuesday Americans will vote for the candidate who's got vision, consistency and conviction, three traits he says John Kerry lacks.

Bush lost Michigan to Al Gore four years ago, but polls show the race close there as it is in the other three states Bush is visiting Saturday: Wisconsin, Minnesota and Florida.

Before heading to Michigan from Ohio, Bush met by video hookup with his intelligence and homeland chiefs to discuss Friday’s new tape from Osama bin Laden.
