Blagojevich Rep to Meet With FDA on Flu Shot Plan

Scott McKibbin oversees the I-Save RX drug importation program for Illinois. He'll meet with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration about the state's plans to buy more vaccine to help Illinois residents amid a national shortage.

Blagojevich says the state wants the FDA to "get moving" and send someone to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.

The governor has a tentative deal to buy about 262,000 doses of an Aventis Pasteur flu vaccine that was manufactured for use in Canada and Europe.
