36-year-old Matt Evans was caught just before three o'clock at his girlfriend's home in the Fairgrounds Housing Development.
Rock County Sheriff Bob Spoden says detectives went over there to interview his girlfriend about Evans' whereabouts and it turns out Evan's was there inside. He is one of four men who police say robbed the Mid America Bank in Footville, WI. Evans and Curtis Seaberry ran off while other led police on a high speed chase that ended off Meridian Road in Winnebago County.
Seaberry was caught shortly after but Evans managed to get away until now. He is now at the Rockford Police Department where he is being questioned by Rock County Detectives about his involvement in the bank robbery.
The three other suspects in the bank robbery, the alleged getaway driver and the woman who police say bought masks for the robbery are all in the custody of U.S. Marshall's in Wisconsin. Since bank robberies are a federal crime, there was no extradition.
