Harvard Closer To Reaching An Agreement

By  |

Harvard teachers and District 50 representatives have reached a potential settlement. They will be presenting that to their members Sunday.

Members will then take about 24 hours to review the package before they do a ratification vote

Teachers and students have been on strike since Tuesday.

Saturday morning teachers say they came up with a new proposal to narrow the financial gap that prompted this strike.

This left the two sides $90,000 apart, but according to the teachers, the school district rejected that offer.

The school district says that the teachers are asking for more than the community can afford. If the teachers ratify this agreement, students could be back in school by Tuesday. Twenty four hundred students are affected by this strike.
