BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (AP) -- About 60 searchers -- some on horseback and others in boats -- looked through overgrown fields, rivers and construction sites today for the missing wife of a Bolingbrook police sergeant.
Stacy Peterson was last seen more than a week ago.
Police say her case is a missing person's investigation. But volunteers searching areas near Peterson's home say they hold little hope of finding the 23-year-old mother of two alive.
Jim Murray has spent the past four days looking for Peterson. He says searchers know the woman is likely dead and expect to find her body underwater or stashed in a storage locker.
Peterson is the fourth wife of 53-year-old Drew Peterson, a veteran police officer.
An investigation into the 2004 death of his third wife has also been reopened.
