For the second straight day those at risk tried to be one of the precious few to get a flu shot.
Schnucks pharmacy at the Logli store in Loves Park had 400 flu shots available. As early as 6 a.m. about 100 people lined up for a clinic. The way it works is that as soon as 400 tickets are distributed to those in line that is all who will get the vaccine.
Maxim health care is the vaccine provider and Logli stores are just the distribution site. Some at the East State Street Logli's Friday had complained about the lack of seating. At Saturday's clinic more places were provided for those waiting for the vaccine.
A final clinic is set for October 23 at the Rockford Plaza Logli store. The time is the same the clinic opens at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.
Organizers suggest getting in line as early as 6 a.m., which is when the store opens.
