Husband Of Missing Plainfield Woman Cuts Off Communication With Relatives

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Family members of Lisa Stebic say her estranged husband has cut off all communication between his children and his wife's sisters.

Craig Stebic has been named by police as a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife six months ago.

Family members say Lisa Stebic's sisters last saw the children alone about five weeks ago, after a fundraiser in Joliet. The women told the children how their mother loved them and would never intentionally leave them.

Lisa Stebic's cousin, Melanie Greenberg, says the missing woman's sisters have no way to contact them directly.

Lisa Stebic's family plan a prayer vigil today to mark her disappearance. However, Greenberg says Craig Stebic has indicated he will not attend.
