Vioxx, a popular Arthritis drug across the country, is being pulled off prescription shelves, after studies link prolong usage to an increased risk of heart problems.
The drug is being pulled by its manufacturer Merck. Rockford area pharmacies say they filled 20 prescriptions a day of the drug and received strong results from customers.
However, doctors say based on the small percentage of heart problems tied to the study, Vioxx users shouldn't be overly concerned.
