DIXON (WIFR) -- After seven years of waiting, and a more than seven hundred mile journey, air-force veterans are being honored in Dixon.
A 50-year-old jet arrived in the river-front town, but it's no ordinary landing.
Flying one last time, an Air Force F-105 jet finds a new home at Dixon’s Veteran's Memorial Park Friday morning.
The Vietnam era plane was mounted for a permanent honor at the park where before now there was no monument for folks in the Air Force.
Volunteers say moving the plane was a bit harder than expected.
