A school bus tips over Monday night.
According to Winnebago County police, a mechanic was driving the empty school bus west bound on Harrison when it rolled over.
The driver sustained minor injuries. Police say he was ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt and driving too fast for conditions.
The driver says he dropped a bus manual and leaned over to pick it up. That's when he jerked the steering wheel and lost control of the vehicle.
The bus was towed and sustained minor damage.
