Hartman says many truckers won't because they'll save time by driving on the less congested roads that will result from changes Blagojevich has proposed. Hartman made his comments Friday during a taping of WBBM's "At Issue" program.
Hearings begin Tuesday on Blagojevich’s plan to overhaul the state's tollway system. The proposal would rebuild 274 miles of roads and eliminate congested toll plazas, but also raise rates for truckers and drivers not using an electronic I-PASS.
The 10-year plan will cost $5.3 billion.
