ROCKFORD (WIFR) – 23 News caught up with these pro-life activists at Riverside and Alpine, one of three locations that hosted demonstrations today.

Group leaders say they use such disturbing photos to prove how shocking abortions can be.

This is the seventh year such an event has taken place.

Shoving pictures in people's faces like that is going to cause car accidents. Then the pro-lifers are going to be the ones getting sued over it. It does no good forcing people to look at those ugly pictures. We all know what happens when a baby is aborted, we don't need to be forced into viewing them 'truth or no truth'.

As I am a hard core pro-lifer . People need to know the truth.....but I no longer agree with the graphic pictures because I do not want little children to see them and dont give me that crap that little children see horrible things anyway yes maybe they do. But we do not to add to it. So lets try to find another way open up peoples eyes

Their supposed rights are violating that of children that are alive, well and living with their parents, adoptive parents and grand parents..My 6 and 12 year old grandchildren saw this obsenity with the pictures and the questions started...how do you explain these pictures to children that see them??? It was disgusting and very disheartening to see these pictures on the street corners for children who have NO IDEA what they are about...tell these people to take their ideas and put them elsewhere..NOT ON OUR STREETS FOR OUR CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN TO SEE WHEN THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS ABOUT...
