MILAN, Ill. (AP) -- Western Illinois authorities say one person died after a fatal jet skiing accident on the Rock River.
The Sunday afternoon accident happened after two people on two separate jet skis went over the Steel Dam.
The second person was able to hold on to the watercraft and was rescued. Meanwhile, the body of the person who drowned was later discovered downstream.
Authorities haven't released names of either victim. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police says the accident remains under investigation.
