ROCKFORD (WIFR) – It’s been a year and a half since the Midway theater’s roof collapsed, but this time next month, it should be completely up to code.
The City of Rockford has set one final deadline for the building’s owner, Peter Crane. By October 1st, a new roof must be in place and weather tight. City inspectors had to step in in 2012 to make sure the historic theater wasn’t putting pedestrians at risk. Crane tells us there’s still a lot of work to be done on the inside.
