CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cleveland Clinic, renowned for its cardiac care, is announcing the latest step it's taking to keep its employees healthy.
Most of the clinic's 37,000 workers are being offered Weight Watchers -- free of charge. Employees also will have access to weight management programs, fitness centers and smoking cessation programs at no cost.
Last fall, the Cleveland Clinic stopped hiring anyone who smoked. Trans-fats have been banned on the hospital's campus.
Chief wellness officer Dr. Michael Roizen says a "health care organization ought to stand for health."
