A Rockton Elementary school teacher is so fun and impressive in the classroom sometimes other teachers say they stop in the hallway just to listen!

So, it's no surprise to them that 5th grade teacher Amy Meier is a Golden Apple recipient. Inside her Whitman Post classroom you can find Meier tossing koosh balls to students during discussions, snapping fingers to applaud right answers, or having students act out the movement of sound waves.

Meier has been teaching for 13 years and you can watch her formally awarded at the Golden Apple banquet this Friday at the Radisson, tickets are still available.

Head to the features and click on the Golden Apple page.
