RDC and RSO Host Basic Needs Drive at Lewis Lemon School

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Christmas season is traditionally filled with lights, food, and family. But some families in the Rockford area still need assistance during this special time of the year. The Rockford Symphony Orchestra and the Rockford Dance Company are asking for donations for the Lewis Lemon Homeless Families Drive at the December 1 and 2 performances of The Nutcracker.

All concert goers who attend are encouraged to bring an item. Needed items include: Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Soap, Shampoo, Deodorant, Moisturizer, Blankets, Socks, Underwear, Boots, Hats, Mittens, Scarves, Towels, Sheets, and Detergent.

Collection bins will be located in the lobby of the Coronado Performing Arts Center before, during, and after both performances.
