Miranda Lambert Dedicates Song, Visits Christmas Car Accident Victim
In Rockford yesterday we saw proof that even the biggest of stars can have a big heart. Even if you've never bought a country music CD, chances are after this story you will become a fan of Miranda Lambert.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- In Rockford yesterday we saw proof that even the biggest of stars can have a big heart. Even if you've never bought a country music CD, chances are after this story you will become a fan of Miranda Lambert.
The 2011 female country singer of the year kicked off her nationwide tour last night in Rockford before seven thousand fans, but one person who had a ticket for that show couldn't be there.
13-year-old Lexi Crose is still at the hospital recovering from injuries suffered in a Christmas Eve car crash that killed her mother and step brother. Before the concert last night, Lambert visited Lexi in the hospital and that at the concert she dedicated the song "Famous in a Small Town" to Lexi.
Miranda tweeted last night "I met a new friend today. She is 13 here name is Lexi. Prayers for her and her family. She is a doll!”
Lambert will be performing in La Crosse, Wisconsin tonight.

i am forever a Miranda fan I love the fact that she vivited this little girl. I worked with her grandmother and am very roud to say i am a country music fan and have always known that country music stars have more class in there little finger than any others

I was at this concert as well as La Crosse show. I have been following Miranda's career since she started on Nashville Star. She has a big heart and has not let fame go to her head. Prayers for Lexi and her family.

Miranda is a very compassionate lady that loves her fans like no other ! Thank you for visiting with this little girl and dedicating this song to her God Bless Lexi, her family and the very sweet Miranda Lambert !
