AMC Theatres Brings the IMAX Experience to Rockford's Showplace 16
Dozens enjoyed watching the new Mission Impossible flick Ghost Protocol on IMAX Thursday night.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- We'll no longer have to drive to Chicago to see an IMAX movie. That's because AMC Showplace 16 now has it right here in Rockford.
Dozens enjoyed watching the new Mission Impossible flick Ghost Protocol on IMAX Thursday night. The IMAX Experience combines crystal-clear images with two digital projectors and powerful digital sound.
Moviegoers say it was pretty impressive and great to be able to see an IMAX movie with out having to leave the Forest City.
