LOS ANGELES - (WIFR) A Los Angeles woman claims her Virgin Mary statue started weeping while she was praying last month.

She says it continued to shine and feel oily for nine days. Observers from all over have flocked to the home, some even claim they saw it move.

Whether or not it's real, visitors say it has brought them all together and filled their lives with hope.

Folks if you could put the sniping on the back burner for, I don't know, ever-you could appreciate the story for what it is. We humans want to believe in all sorts of concepts, visions, mythical characters or spiritual beings. If it isn't hurting anyone; if these people aren't robbing someone of their rights- what do you care? Now, I do get that the bloggers are trying to equate the 'miracle' for their own forum. C'mon, that is just plain silly. Gay bashing and church bashing, really? I say if the owners of the statue wish to perceive this incident as a miracle, God bless em'. If Darb doesn't want to attend a gay wedding-don't. If 'anonymous' doesn't want to attend a church and pay for their maintenance and upkeep-don't. I guess the problem is solved and the California statue owners are none the wiser!

As you can probly tell I cannot type too well. My period should have been the ? instaed. I guess that makes me ignorant. But alas, someone throwing names and accusations might be just as ignorant. Seeing as you are just as many comments as I, maybe your advice should used from within. Many people lose control and start calling names. I am sorry you are too emotional to engage in a conversation that you disagree with wothout resorting name calling. You might as well call me a racist too.
