CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago Sun-Times columnist Richard Roeper says he did not reach an agreement with Disney to renew his nationally syndicated show "At the Movies with Ebert & Roeper" after eight seasons.

The contract expires at the end of the 2007-08 season.

Roeper says his show was never the same without critic Roger Ebert.

Roeper says his last show will air the weekend of August 16-17.

Roeper joined Sun-Times movie critic Ebert on the show in 2000, after the 1999 death of Ebert's original co-host, Chicago Tribune film critic Gene Siskel.
