Hollywood mourns the loss of one their most well known directors of the 1980's. 73 year old Sydney Pollack died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. Pollack won an Academy Award for best director for the epic "Out of Africa", which also won best picture. Pollack was known to act in some of his films one of his most memorable roles was as Dustin Hoffman's producer in the movie "Tootsie".
