It is being reported that superstar singer Mariah Carey and her boyfriend Nick Cannon have got married this week.

The New York Post reports the singer married the actor-rapper, 11 years her junior, at her new home in Eleuthera, the Bahamas.

It would be the second marriage for 38 year old Carey, whose former husband was record kingpin Tommy Mottola.

Cannon has not been married before. He was last linked with Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks.

According to the Post, news of a surprise wedding has stunned Carey's family and friends.

Rumors that the couple were engaged began when Carey was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand at the Tribeca film festival premiere of her new film 'Tennessee' last week.
