New campaign rules are now in effect when it comes to where political signs can go up.
Candidates are now limited to two signs per area within the Rockford park district. They must be no bigger than ten square feet. And district staff are allowed to remove them in order to mow the lawn or perform regular maintenance. Any signs left up two days after the election will also be thrown out
