Sen. Christopher Dodd Endorses Former Rival Barack Obama
CLEVELAND (AP) -- U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut has endorsed Barack Obama, his former rival in the Democratic presidential race.

Dodd and Obama appeared today at a joint news conference in Cleveland.
Dodd says the Illinois Democrat is "ready to be president" and Dodd says he's ready to support Obama's campaign.
Dodd was an early dropout in the campaign, quitting after the lead-off Iowa caucuses.
