Redevelopment Plans Announced For Former Rockford Industrial Building
An old industrial site will soon get a face-lift... As part of an ongoing effort to revitalize downtown Rockford

The owners of Murphy Transfer and Storage in Rockford have entered into an agreement to redevelop this two block area along Cedar street.. south of the new federal courthouse downtown.

The 20 thousand square foot building is the former Burlington Railroad Cross Dock.

The group hopes to redevelop the space and lease it for commercial and residential use.

The Murphy's are seeking state and federal funding for the three million dollar project.
