Digital Delay a Relief to TV Networks
The big broadcast networks will catch a break if the planned transition to digital signals is put off from February until June. Except for CBS, they're already suffering terrible ratings.

The Feb. 17 digital conversion deadline was established more than a year ago when the economy was not in the bad shape it is now. The government has realized this and delayed the date to June because of this. I find it very irresponsible of the local TV stations not to also delay the conversion to digital. There are many families out there that can not afford the converter boxes and the coupon system is now depleted to help them out. I am sure the stations were not happy in the first place when the Feb. 17 deadline was set. I think they are now only hurting the people that can not afford to convert by not delaying as the government is allowing.
