Last year Rockford Area Crime Stoppers paid over $59,000 for information that led to the arrest of 623 individuals and the recovery of over $1,300,000 in property, cash and narcotics. Now we need your information to keep coming to Crime Stoppers. We want to get that information to police so they can continue to do their jobs. Now today I'm going to show you four individuals who are wanted on warrants. If you know your location, please give us a call. You can get in on some of the cash if you know the location you are about to see. Please give us a call at Crime Stoppers. Christopher Brown is wanted for domestic battery. Brown is 33 years old. He's 6'0" tall, 190 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. Daniel Davenport is wanted for aggravated battery. Davenport is 29, 5'5", 155 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Enrique Castaneda is wanted for narcotics violation. He's 49 years old, 5'7", 200 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. And Tara Heaslip is wanted for theft. She's 20, 5'2" 110 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.. Remember when you call Crime Stoppers, we're never going to ask your name. We're going to assign you a control number. That number is going to be used when you do call into Crime Stoppers for your reward. Or if you use it in the future by calling Crime Stoppers with information to pertinent activity throughout the county. If you have information on the people you've just seen, please call Crime Stoppers at 963-7867 or toll free at 1-888-769-STOP. And remember we don't have caller I-D, we never ask your name, and we're going to give you a cash reward for your information.

What is Crime Stoppers? The Crime Stoppers Program is managed by the Winnebago County Sheriff's office Crime Stopper Division, which is located in the Public Safety Building. The city of Rockford helps pay part of the operating costs of the Division which is staffed by one full time Deputy who acts as the program coordinator, Richard Gambini, and one full time assistant who is employed by Crime Stoppers. | How does it work? People with information regarding criminal activity and fugitive locations are often reluctant to talk to law enforcement officials because they fear retaliation. The Crime Stoppers Program is designed to protect the identity of callers who are never asked their name when they give information, and we do not use caller ID. The caller is assigned a code number, which is used on the information file, and the referral sheet is forwarded to the appropriate agency for the follow up investigation. Callers also use their code to check on the status of the case, add information to the case, report other criminal activity, and to collect their reward. Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward up to $1,000.00 when an arrest is made or a crime is solved as a result of the caller's information. The amount of payment to the Crime Stopper caller is determined by the program coordinator and the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors who meet twice monthly to set the rewards. |
| $1000 REWARD
Callers with information about crimes can call the special Crime Stoppers phone numbers and anonymously give Crime Stoppers information. Each Caller is assigned a number, and if the tip results in an arrest, a reward will be paid. Rewards of up to $1000 will be presented for information that leads to an arrest. Crime Stoppers never asks your name. We do not have Caller ID. Paydates are twice a month.
