ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) After being hired on May 18th, the IceHogs introduced Jeremy Colliton to its fans at the BMO Harris Bank Center Tuesday night.
The 32-year-old, along with IceHogs General Manager Mark Bernard, mingled with Rockford fans following his introductory press conference.
Colliton is the fourth Head Coach in Rockford’s AHL history, and 10th overall as the team enters its 19th season.
Colliton says he. more than anyone, knows what these players are going through and hopes that experience will help in the long run.
"The Blackhawks organization has a tremendous reputation, a track record of winning over the years and a lot of talented people with a ton of experience," said Colliton. "For me to join them and be a part of that is really good for my own development. I've been in their shoes so hopefully I can help young players get to the highest level and acheive their dreams so that's exciting too."
