Mushroom Soup




Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 oz. butter
  • 2 oz. flour
  • 1 pt. chicken stock
  • 1/4 pt. milk or cream

  • Directions

    1. Melt the butter in a heavy pan.



    2. Add the mushrooms and cook slowly. When tender add the flour to thicken.



    3. Slowly add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.



    4. Thin to the desired consistency with the milk.



    5. Salt to taste.
