Two arrested in drug bust after Rockford Police recover more than six pounds of cocaine

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Two people are facing drug charges after Rockford Police say they found more than six pounds of cocaine and more than a pound of marijuana while searching a home.

26-year-old Francisco Trejo and 27-year-old Jasmin Brito, both of Rockford, are each charged with possession with intent to deliver over 900 grams of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver 500-2000 grams of cannabis.

Rockford Police say officers with the narcotics unit along with agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rockford Task Force executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Loomis Street.

Along with the drugs, officers say they found more than $15,000 in cash. Two vehicles were also seized.

Both Trejo and Brito have been taken to the Winnebago County Jail. Police have not released photos of the suspects at this time.
