UPDATE: The Coroner's Office has released the names of the two Rockford University students found dead in an off-campus apartment.

The Coroner's Office says 24-year-old Amjad Balkhair and 21-year-old Mohammed Mofti both from Saudi Arabia were pronounced dead just after midnight Sunday after they were found in the garage of a home in the 1000 block of McKnight Circle.

The Winnebago County Coroner says the preliminary findings from the autopsy are consistent with carbon monoxide poisoning, although toxicology tests are pending and should be back in a few weeks.

The deaths are still under investigation by the Rockford Police Department.
