Two Dixon men arrested on drug charges

DIXON, Ill. (WIFR) - Two Dixon men are arrested for allegedly selling cocaine in the Dixon and Lee County area as well as Winnebago County.

35-year-old Ryan Proell and 34-year-old Roque Romero were arrested following a joint investigation by the Dixon Police Department and the State Line Area Narcotics Task Force (S.L.A.N.T.)

Proell is charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, 1-15 grams (cocaine) within 1,000 feet of a park, a class X felony, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, 1-15 grams (cocaine) with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, a class X felony, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, 1-15 grams (cocaine), a class 1 felony, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, 1-15 grams (cocaine), a class 1 felony, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams, (cocaine), a class 4 felony.

Romero is charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, 1-15 grams (cocaine), a class 1 felony, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams (cocaine), a class 4 felony.

Proell and Romero are innocent until proven guilty.
