Gifts go to kids with incarcerated parents

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- While kids write letters to Santa, more than 700 will celebrate the holiday while mom and dad are in jail.

The Salvation Army wants to make sure those kids get presents, so they're sending gifts from incarcerated moms and dads to 700 children in Winnebago County.

On Thursday volunteers helped wrap the toys before UPS drops them at the door steps in the Rockford area.
