Teen boy dies after church home shooting

WILMINGTON, Ill. (AP) -- A 15-year-old boy has died after being shot inside of a house that’s attached to a church in Will County, Illinois.

The Will County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots fired at the Wilmington home on Tuesday night around 11:30. The boy was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The home is connected to the Christian Faith Center, located southwest of Chicago. No activities were scheduled in the church at the time.

Deputy Chief Dan Jungles said detectives were interviewing the person who shot the gun and that the people involved in the shooting are related. This incident is still under investigation.
