Superbug Syndrome and the threat of antibiotic resistance

ROCKFORD,Ill. (WIFR) -- The threat of antibiotic resistance is at an all time high as doctors and scientist warn we could be responsible for causing the issue.

Doctors say bacteria is growing stronger and more resistant making infections harder to treat.

Experts say uncontrolled use of these drugs makes nearly 2.25 million Americans sick each year , killing more than 37,000.

Doctors say there are things that we can do differently to prevent antibiotic resistance like not pressuring our doctors for antibiotics especially for infections that are viral and not bacterial.
