ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- After months of rehearsals, the Steps to Grace dancers entertained the community with six performances of the classic Nutcracker ballet.
The Steps to Grace Ballet Dance Academy performed their 2nd annual Nutcracker suite performance for the whole family to enjoy at multiple locations this weekend and last.
Today the company performed a theatrical performance in Rockford East High School's auditorium. They performed last weekend at Stroll on State and provided educational performances for children at Brookview Elementary School and Carlson Elementary on Friday.
"It's great for all children to be exposed to all forms of the arts, music, dance, the visual arts. It's just a special thing that they can take with them for the rest of their lives and it's really important that we as a community share that gift with the kids here in Rockford," says Steps to Grace Dance Academy Owner Holly Reilly.
Steps to Grace Dance Academy will be hosting their spring recital at the end of May, an all-studio production with all the dancers at the academy.
